Welcome to Ladonia's Library Media Center
The mission of the Ladonia Elementary Library Media Center is to ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information and to promote a love of reading in a warm, welcoming environment.
The Ladonia Library Media Center is open on school days from 8:45am until 3:00pm.

It is important for all students to remember proper behavior in the library. It is a quiet place for all students and staff to use. Our library behavior expectations have been discussed with all of our students and is organized according to our PBIS Matrix ROAR: Responsible, Organized, Accountable, Respectful.

Student Check Out
- Kindergarten- Books are checked out to the class for all students to enjoy.
- 1st graders- Check out one book.
- 2nd- 5h graders- Check out two books.

- Students with an overdue book, may not checkout another book until the book is returned or a fee for a replacement is paid.
- Book(s) are checked out for two weeks.
- Students may renew a book by bringing the book to the media center and having it re-scanned.
- Lost or damaged books must be paid for at replacement cost.

Our library media program utilizes a combination of fixed and flexible scheduling. The library is open each morning at 8:45 am and closes at 3:00 pm. The library closes for lunch daily from 12:20-12:50 pm.
- All students visit the library with their class on a regular schedule every other week.
- In between those visits, students are allowed to visit the library independently to check out books and to utilize print and online resources during daily open access times.
- Teachers work collaboratively with the media specialist to plan additional instructional visits that support classroom standards.
