Counselor's Corner
The counseling department at Ladonia strives to meet the social/emotional, academic, and career goals of all students. Biweekly classroom lessons are taught across grades K-5 with these topics in mind. Students are also met with on a one-on-one and small group basis based on recommendations from teachers, parents, and the students themselves.

A comprehensive school counseling and guidance program ensures that every student has multiple opportunities to acquire competencies in the three domains of Academic Development, Career Development, and Personal/Social Development. A combination of the four program delivery components helps to assist the students to achieve the competencies. The four program delivery components are as follows:
- School Guidance Curriculum–Large Group Guidance Lessons
- Individual Student Planning–Small Group Counseling Lessons
- Responsive Services–Individual Counseling
- System Support–Consultation with School Staff

Parents are encouraged to talk to the counselor about any area of concern (i.e. separation or divorce, students who are grieving, students with a deployed parent, individual counseling, parent/teacher consultation, and coordination of services for students).
